Back from Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle and in sunny and rainy Trefforest! Whilst I was away, Gav completed the playouts of twenty six episodes of Marcaroni. They’re fab! Just the small matter of dub now – and the whole project in Welsh will be finished. Marcaroni has become a big hero for Cyw viewers. Roll on a version in English now – starring the brilliant Mark Evans and the rest of the cast. Take a look at Marcaroni.tv if you’ve got a minute. There’s some songs there. Thought a shot of the Marcaroni set waiting patiently to be used again in our post industrial space would be fun to post here! You can see how deep and adaptable the space we’ve got is.

Bonne Soirée from La Rochelle!
Those who know me will remember that I have a love affair with France that goes back many years. I arrived in La Rochelle about three hours ago – and have taken in some live music on the streets, a great meal and a glass of wine! It’s Fête à la Musique today and there’s a great atmosphere. I’m here to attend Sunny Side of the Doc – to meet some people and try and make some partnerships for a great new project. I’ve recently cut a new documentary showreel which I’m going to try to upload here! Hope you enjoy it!

Three episodes have aired – and if you missed them take a look at www.s4c.co.uk/cyw! Wednesday is Marcaroni day on Cyw’s TV service – it’s subtitled too. Don’t forget to tune in to watch Marcaroni and his friends compose a new song every show.
In the meantime, how about getting this new CD? You can buy it from Welsh bookshops all over Wales – or alternatively get in touch with us. Either leave a message on here or call 01443 844714. Take a look at Marcaroni’s facebook page too!

It’s a green world
Here’s a look at the great green screen we’ve just put up in the studio. We shot some fairies on it for Marcaroni and the key was really good. (Mid-shots so didn’t need floor painting that day). The studio is available to hire by the way…it’s a really flexible space. Decent Size – 2000 sq ft. Blacks all the way around. Lighting rig. And now Green Screen! We’re adding to it as we go.
Good for TV/Video production of course. Stills photography too. Events.
